How to Setup and Connect iProVPN using Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) on Mint Linux OS

  • Click on your WiFi/ Ethernet icon and open “Network Connections”.
  • Click “Add” and then select “Choose a Connection Type” drop-down
  • Select “Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP)” and then click “Create”.
  • Give any name to your VPN connection in the “Connection name” box, such as PPTP

  • Enter your iProVPN “Username” and “Password” in the next two fields.
  • Now click on the “Advanced” button
  • Check mark “Use Point-to-Point- encryption (MPPE)”. Then click “OK” and click “Save” to save your VPN settings.
  • Now click on your network icon, goto your newly created PPTP VPN profile, turn on the switch
  • Your VPN will be connected shortly.
